About Sparrows Mahjong with Jackie M.
At Sparrows Mahjong with Jackie we provide the authentic Chinese Mahjong lessons for individuals and groups. Our goal is to promote the original version while embracing all variations that come after Chinese Mahjong, bringing this classic, exciting and engaging game to people of all ages and backgrounds. Our Mahjong class is above just learning the rules, the etiquettes, and winning your opponents. In addition to all the "must haves", it is strategically designed with backstories of Mahjong fun facts and traditions that help retaining knowledge and skill sets in Mahjong, making it a truly rewarding and enriching experience and journey. Mahjong is a game for 4 players. Jackie M. currently offers her group classes through Greenwich Adult and Continuing Education. You may sign up one of the group classes or gather your friends and family for your tailored private lessons at the convenience of your own schedule and your home. Mahjong continues to gain popularity, especially in recent years, particularly among people who are looking for a new hobby together with friends and family. The Mahjong community awaits you! Meet and play with other classic Chinese Mahjong enthusiasts on a weekly basis. You have learned the Pong, Chow, Kong; and now let's continue to sharpen your game. Have fun and play it like they do in the movies (like Crazy Rich Asians) without any need of annual rule card. Both fast pacing "Chicken Hands" and the more challenging "3 Faans and Above Hands" are played at the club. Sparrows Mahjong Founder, Jackie Moy, will support and guide you through your games. During each meet, your score will be tallied up and added to the "Final Tournament" at the end of the Fall session. Play it relaxingly or competitively, come join the Mahjong Club!
